Frame by Frame L2

  • 10 Hours
This course is designed for young learners to explore the intersection of science and animation by creating engaging, educational videos using the Stop Motion Studio and FlipaClip apps. Students will learn how to visualize scientific concepts and bring them to life through animation, combining the hands-on approach of stop-motion with the creative potential of digital drawing. The course aims to deepen understanding of key scientific principles while developing technical skills in animation. For the final project, students will create a stop motion animation that explores the Solar System. Using the knowledge gained throughout the course, they will design a storyboard that depicts the planets, their orbits, and other celestial bodies like moons and asteroids. The project will require students to accurately represent the relative positions and movements of the planets, as well as to include key facts about each one. Students will use various materials to craft models of the planets, which they will then animate using the Stop Motion Studio app. The animation should visually convey the Solar System’s structure and dynamics, such as the elliptical orbits of the planets around the Sun. Additionally, students may choose to include informative captions or voiceovers to enhance the educational value of their project. The final animation will be a creative representation of the Solar System, combining scientific accuracy with artistic expression.
